Is My Cat Too 'Dangerous?'

Yup my cat is really horrible. It scratches you whenever it wants and if you pick him up or stroke him on his back he'll scratch you. How can i calm him and make him nicer?

Some cats can be very anti-social creatures so your cat may
never be an attention seeker.  First
examine your cat's environment and see if there is anything that may be
stressful to the cat. Have your cat
examined by a veterinarian to make sure there is no medical reason the cat
    becomes aggressive. The veterinarian can
then prescribe behavior modifying medication for your cat—that acts as
anti-anxiety and helps treat aggression. At home try seeing if your cat likes and
responds well to cat nip. Also some pet
stores sell pheromone (chemicals produced and given off by animals that can
influence behavior or attract others of the same species) plug ins or sprays
that may help sooth and calm your feisty kitty. Good Luck!

I wonder if he has a sensitive skin and it hurts him to be touched. Do you try to brush the cat so that there are no knots in the fur? If you don't and the kitty does have knots, then I would have the cat shaved to get rid of them, and if it is an allergy of some sort, then you should have him taken to the vet. I hate to think that the poor kitty is suffering. Hope this helps you out, also, make sure that you are gentle with him for a while, and see if he doesn't learn a new behavior with you.

Did you ever think that there is something hurting the cat or maybe the cat just does not like you except when it needs food/water/or to be petted. Have it's claws removed if it is a inside cat. But then it can still bite if it is in any pain. Since the cat can not speak these are it's only way to communicate besides purring or making a hissing sound.
