Antigone refers to a female personality in Greek Mythology. The name means unbending. The name is used for the daughter of Kind Oedipus of Thebes and his mother Jocasta. The name is also given to daughter of Eurytion and wife of Pelus. Whereas Niobe is a mortal woman in Greek Mythology who was the daughter of Tantalus and Euryanassa. There is as such no similarity between the two women.
