    The Attack on Pearl Harbour basically was a surprise attack; it was launched on the morning of Sunday, December 7th, 1941. It was carried out by Japan's 1st Air Fleet in opposition to the U.S. Pacific fleet and additional US military forces which had been positioned at the harbour and also on the supplementary side of the Oahu Island.

    The attack on carried out on Pearl Harbour forced the USA to enter World War II. The bombing on Pearl Harbour left 2,403 dead an additional 1,178 injured, along with four battleships, three destroyers, three cruisers and one eighty eight planes completely destroyed.

    Japan's economic as well as military expansion caused a number of confrontations with other nations. These comprised of the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War.
