I don't have cancer but have known people that have and I would suppose that depends on how severe the cancer is or what stage,I know of a person that had cancer that was beyond treatment and said that she never experienced any pain what so ever,so I'll just say I suppose it depends and than they have medication to help with the pain.....the best to you
