Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Mont Blanc; also known as Monte Bianco (in Italian) is a mountain that is located in Western Europe in the Alps mountain range. It is the highest mountain in this region. The exact location of the mountain is between the Aosta Valley region in Italy and the Haute-Savioe region in France.

The Mont Blanc summit has often been a subject of constant controversy between Italy and France as each of the two countries prefers to have it as their own. Even today one can find geographical maps that depict different locations of the summit. Chamonix in France and Courmayer in Italy are the most popular towns in this place and are well known tourist destinations.  This area is a very popular location for skiing, mountaineering and hiking.
