Answer Question

The female deep sea angler uses its long fin on its forehead to appear like bait to attract the attention of its prey. This deep-sea fish is found at considerable depths varying from 300 to 4,000 m. Its natural size is around 45 cm. Found by and large roughly near the coastline of UK, including the Atlantic, North Sea, and English Channel, the angler fish eats a wide variety of small fishes like the whiting skate, cod, dogfish, haddock, sprats, flat fish, sandeels, etc. These fishes are also commonly known as monkfishes. They belong to the family of Ceratioidea. Although found deep in the sea, the angler fish eggs float on to the surface where they feed on plankton. The  colour of the angler fish varies from blackish grey to greenish brown, with spotted and multicolored markings.
