Does Smoking Pot Have Anything To Do With Heart Problems?
I have had an abnormal ekg come back and more tests are going to be taken. I smoke pot. I know I should quit. But it is hard because I really like to smoke. How does that affect the heart?

When you inhale smoke into your lungs it passes through minute air sacs into your bloodstream. in your blood is a substance called haemoglobin. this substance carries oxygen. so the smoke latches on to the haemoglobin therefore reducing the bloods capacity to take in oxygen. as a result the heart muscle does not get the oxygen it requires to work efficiently.
