Where Is Blackpool Tower In Blackpool?
Answers
The Blackpool Tower is a tourist attraction situated in the town of Blackpool, Lancashire, in the north of England. The tower is 518 feet and 9 inches in height. The inspiration to build this tower was gained from the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The total cost to build this tower was around 42,000 pounds; it was first unveiled to the common public on May 14th 1894. This tower is a part of the World Federation of Great Towers.
Distinct from the Eiffel tower, it is not as free standing, the base of the tower is concealed by a structure which is housing the Blackpoll Tower Circus. You can reach the top portion of the tower via lifts. There are four platforms for viewing for the general public, out of which the lower one is fully enclosed.
