How Do Databases Work?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Databases provide a higher level of abstraction, which means an extra level of indirection to help you process instructions by handling most of the internal operations by itself. The underlying operations are done by the DBMS using efficient algorithms and ultimately the storage is only in the form of records and can also be in the form of files which depends on the DBMS Developer.
