Is Spike The Movie Coming Out This Year?

Spike movie is basically a spinoff of the Buffy verse. It is based on the character of Spike from Buffy and Angel. However, the development of the movie is still in question.

Actually Warner Brothers showed interest in the concept of Angel. Joss Whedon and TIM Minear would be writing the story of this movie. However, there have been numerous problems associated with this movie like funding, too busy team members.

If the movie ever materializes, Tim Minear would write and direct it with the help of Whedon. James Marsters would act as Spike, Amy Acker would be Illyria and Alyson Hannigan would be acting as Willow Rosenberg. Till date there is no news of when the actual production of the movie would start.
