Why Does My African Gray Pluck Feathers?

I have an African gray, about 1.5 years old and he plucks tiny feathers out all during the day. He is not balding in any way and is healthy, talks and whistles all day, and eats good. These feathers are tiny little white feathers and he will pluck several every day. He is a very happy bird and isn't nervous.

He is molting. All birds go through a couple molts a year. But like growing a tooth it is annoying and itches so they pluck them out to make room for the new feathers.

Your parrot is more than likely board, move his toys around in the cage, once they get use to something they get fed up with it, so it's best to keep rearranging things. Change his diet several times a week, just give it a go what have you got to loose.
