Can You Answer This? Benign Tumors

1. Are likely to be fatal in very old persons. 2. Are difficult to remove from brain tissue. 3. Do not require treatment. 4. Spread rapidly through the process of metastasis. 5. Have a distinct border.

    Well, I have a benign brain tumour, and have had most of it removed. I think the answer is no.5, although a benign tumour could be fatal in anyone at any age - it just depends where in the brain it is. It's not 4., because that would be the action of a malignant tumour, it's not 3., because benign tumours do require treatment before they grow so big that they cause damage to other tissue in the brain or press on nerves or brainstem.
