Sleigh is same as a sled. There is a very little difference between the sled and the sleigh. Sleds were smaller in size. Sleighs were on usual basis considered to be bigger or larger vehicles. These sleighs were designed especially for riding in a sitting position. The sleigh is strained by a draft animal like a horse or an ox. It might not always be these two animals.

Like sleds, these sleighs are also driven on the areas with very less or no friction. These places include places covered with snow or ice. These sleighs might be used as a major mode of transportation in the places with a very low friction.
