How Much Demand Is There For Carpenters?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

In my opinion they are in demand only when companies need skilled builders and then they are underpaid for their skill and then kicked to the curb when the building surge is over.(usually when christmas is coming up or if they are lucky enough to keep a job for their career they are let go just before retirement so the company does not have to pay full retirement benefits.at least in america companies have become a nation of users and then they discard the workers(like so much trash)that have helped keep their company running and profitable for decades.now we are seeing where their companies are ending up when the economy took a dive because the same employees they drop can no longer by their companies goods or services. Sorry, for blurting so much but it is true.

I agree with the answer before mine this country uses and abuses not only carpenters but every other trade in the construction industry but non union contractors petrify their men about unions in general then do not pay them squat e.g.no pension, health care etc. Not all but 60%of them and they know what to do when doing their job.
