On Some Sites It's Difficult To Find Exactly What You Want, Any Hints That Might Help?

The temptation here is to advise you to simply click out and go to another site that's more user-friendly. Preferably after having fired off a stiff email to the webmaster about how much their site sucks.

But here are a few pointers that may help reduce some of the frustration.

    1) Look for the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. The answer you're looking for may well be in there.

    2) Try the site search. These, too, can be of varying quality and degrees of uselessness. Or you can try your own site search in Google by typing in a search term, then the domain on which you wish to search, e.g. 'cars' site:www.blurtit.com

    3) Still no success? Try contacting the site via email. The contact details etc. usually appear on a page called Contact Us. This normally forms part of the main menu navigation or appears at the foot of the page as a text link.
Failing that, use the email address webmaster@, followed by the site's domain. Email messages to the webmaster are usually picked up. Whether you receive anything other than an automated reply is another matter.

You can also type in a more specific search phrase into the search engine.
Eg, instead of typing financial planning you can type financial planning for singles.
