What Does Imao Mean

LMAO is internet abbreviated parlance for the words Laugh My Ass Off.  It is an expression used in an internet chat room on via mobile telephone text message to suggest that the other person is laughing hard enough for their bottom to fall off - which in itself is quite funny.

Both text and chat room language has developed to serve the needs of the chatting typist who wishes to communicate as quickly as possible.

lmao is one of the most common and is essentially an expansion of LOL which is Laugh out Loud.

Chat language is both as perplexing and puzzling as a foreign language for those who do not speak it, leading some experts to believe that there is are cyber-languages developing that the 'information poor' will not have access to, this alongside little training for the unskilled in computers will lead to an underclass of those who are not computer literate, making buying purchases, communication and business almost impossible in some respects for those without the knowledge.

This question made me chuckle a little.

Acronyms can be combined to express hard laughter or disbelief like:

omgtwsf - "oh my god that was so funny"

IMAO stands for "In My Arrogant opinion"  Used in text type language.

I guess lol also means Lots of love!!!!
