You need to call the SSA again. Have all the necessary paperwork to hand, make a note of the time and date of your call and get the full name of the person who deals with you (write it down.) Get this person to explain exactly what you need to do in order to get your details corrected. It may take time, but if you persist they are sure to fix it for you. Good luck.
