In the past two months I have had unprotected sex with my partner, I started my period and everything was fine but then I started my period again in the same month only this time it was only spotting and lasted for one day.

It's totally normal, unless you get your periods again in the next month. If you do not have the periods in the next coming month then there can be a problem. Now you should start counting your days after you had your last periods and then if you have periods then it's totally normal, otherwise visit your doctor.

You should go to an ob-gyn. I had that problem when i got pregnant with my daughter. If you are not pregnant then your bo9dy was probably trying to fertilize an egg but could not

When we hear of an on time, all right montly, we should celebrate. THere is always the chance of a problem. Did you experience pain? Sometimes residual takes its time. Have you or your mate had a recent kidney or bladder infection? If you are not having pain, odd odor etc. I would sit on it a month. If it becomes bright and you feel ill, see the doctor. Same if it is extremely dark and has an unusual odor. I would not say it is normal, but common.
