Where Is Kilimanjaro?

    Kilimanjaro is a mountain in northeastern Tanzania. It was earlier known as Kaiser-Wilhelm-Spitze. It is considered as the tallest free-standing mountain rise in the world. The elevation of the mountain is around 5,895 meters which is approximately around (19,340) feet. The prominence of the mountain is around 5,895 m and it is ranked 4th in the world. Its type is Stratovolcano; no one knows when the last time this mountain erupted was. The easiest way to get to the peak is by hiking all the way.  

    The first person to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro was a scout from the Marangu army. His name was Johannes Kinyala Lauwo. He had already climbed the peak of the summit before realizing that it was a crater.  The highest peak point is the Uhuru Peak.
