How Big Does A Sea Fishing Rod Have To Be?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A fishing rod or pole is basically the term used to describe an instrument which is used to catch fish, generally in relation with the sport of angling. A fishing rod differs slightly from a fishing pole, in the sense that it is a more refined tool with line guides attached as well as a reel for the purpose of line stowage. Fishing rods differ in function as well as size; they are available in lengths ranging from twenty-four inches to sixteen feet. What size you choose depends completely on your needs and requirements. It's simple - if the fishing rod is longer, you will have a better mechanical advantage for the process of casting the rod.

Fishing rods come in a variety of designs depending upon their usage. For example, fly fishing rods are generally long and thin rods which are made to cast a fly, whereas ultra light rods are created to catch fish of smaller species.
