    The Uruguay is one of the important rivers of southeastern part of South America. The Uruguay River rose from the southern part of Brazil. The river has formed a border between Argentina and Brazil. It has also established the other border between Argentina and Uruguay. The river is combined with another river above Buenos Aires. The other river is the Parana River. After the Uruguay River combines with Parana, a great estuary is formed. The name of the estuary is Rio de la Plata. From the total length of the river, 1,593 kilometers is characterised by a large number of rapids, though the other part is navigable by ocean vessels. It is about 210 kilometers upriver from its mouth. The Uruguay River is very important for its geographical location. The river is important for the country's economics as well.

    The Vaal is the famous river of South Africa. The river lies in the province of Mpumalanga and flows to the western part of the country. A boundary has been formed by the river Vaal between the Mpumalanga province and the Free State province. The river is around 1,210 kilometers long. The Vaal empties into the Orange River of Northern Cape province. The Vaal is widely used for irrigation.
