Haw is a river also known as a tributary of the Cape Fear River. It is around 110 mi (177 km) long. It is situated in north central North Carolina in the United States. This river starts to flow at the piedmont country, in northwest Guilford County northwest of Greensboro. It flows through the east where it passes north of Greensboro into Alamance County. It also passes the Jordan Lake reservoir, and later moves in to join New Hope Creek. This forms the north of the reservoir. At Haywood it connects joins the Deep River, due to which it forms the Cape Fear River.
