Water can affect several aspects of your car's engine. It can get inside your silencer in which case the car will not start at all. The water that splashes onto the engine will not cause serious trouble to your engine but may affect the spark plugs. When the wiring of the spark plugs or their contacts are wet they may not create the necessary spark and the engine may not perform very well. This can result into misfiring and the loud noise and vibration of the car can be a result of this. The procedure is not that complicated, the wires that lead up to the spark plug will have to be removed, cleaned, dried and refitted. The spark plugs can also be removed and the carbon on the pin cleaned before reinstalling.
