No surprises. The highest island, Orba Co, is in the Himalayas. Situated in a lake in Tibet, Orba Co stands at 17,090 feet / 5,209 metres above sea level


Highest inhabited islands
There are several inhabited islands at 12,506 feet / 3,812 meters above sea level, in Lake Titicaca, Peru and Bolivia

Lowest island
Believe it or not, an island in the Ethiopian lake, Afrera Ye'ch'ew Hayk is 337 ft / 103 m below sea level
