This book by Sidney Sheldon also a best seller was concerning the split personalities of the lead character called Ashley and the murders taking place all around her. She suffers from what is known as Multiple Personality Disorder which has resulted from child abuse that she faced during her younger years.
Though Ashley herself is an introvert and a complete workaholic her sister personalities are not. Toni forms part of her outgoing and vivacious personality while the artistically inclined is the shy A letter.
People start getting killed in an around Ashley after a threat against her is made. Even the police detail protecting her ends up dead along with the boyfriends of her sister personalities.
