It is the city of Berlin that plays the role of the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany and the location of the city is in the north-eastern part of the country. The city is the largest in its country and even in the European Union it is ranked only second in terms of population.
Being the capital of the third largest economy in the world and also of the biggest economy in Europe, the city is considered as one of the most important centre of politics, culture and science. The economy of the particular city is based mainly on the service sector and the corporations that play the role of the mentor of the city are diversified. They are ranging from life science based corporations to media conglomerates. The city is very important to drive the future growth of the country also as it houses many of the research institutes and creative powerhouses.

Dear Vicky, I value your argument about Berlin and make it look good, but rather stay with facts. Berlin is almost bankrupt and is fed by the rest of the country- financially. It has a high unemployment rate and a high percentage of homeless people, drug-addicts, beggars etc. living there -pityable humans left over from the communist part of former East-Berlin and unable to convert to modern times.
All those beautiful new buildings and modern structures were paid from the federal budget or private enterprises and not from "the city of Berlin" and as far as art and culture goes, most theaters have shut down from lack of funds.
But "the Berliners" will overcome this trying stage with time- they have seen harder times even!
