The best place to look is the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook, which lists literary agents not just from the UK but worldwide. There is a detailed description of each agency such as what type of manuscripts they accept, when they were founded, details of which ways they prefer authors to submit manuscripts and also contact details so that you can get in touch with them if you have any queries etc.
Another place to look is on the internet. If you type in 'UK literary agents' then quite a few lists will come up, but you might want to avoid any agencies which sound illegitimate.
