Exercise can be performed in many different ways. The main types are aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise. Aerobics involves such activities as walking, running and building up cardiovascular endurance. In contrast, anaerobic exercise involves training with weights, and sprinting to increase short term muscle strength. Performing these tasks will maintain a healthy weight, bones, muscles and joints, as well as increasing the strength of the immune system. Exercising can be broken into small sections, and it is recommended that when beginning a regime, you start with small bursts and gradually build up into longer periods of exercise. This is particularly important for weight training, as taking on too much early can damage muscles, cause strain and even break bones. It is also important to supplement a regular exercise routine with proper nutritional discipline, providing the body with energy and nutrients to allow it to cope with consistent exercise without soreness.
