What Is The Importance Of Team Presentations?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Team presentations are just like any other presentations in terms of structure, visuals and so forth. The only difference is that instead of one person delivering the entire presentation a series of people deliver it. Team presentations are fairly common in business both because you may want your whole team to receive recognition.

The major problem with team presentation occurs when each presenter prepares his or her own parts and the parts never coalesce into a whole. A team presentation is not a panel discussion. It is instead a coherent, organized, presentation that is to be spoken by various people instead of one person. Therefore team presentations should be organized as a whole.

An important part of that coherence is the need for very clear transitions between the speakers. For example, one team member might give the introduction and preview including what each subsequent team member will discuss. As each new team members starts se or he should provide transition between the parts such as, "Now that Mr. Bower has discussed our proposal, I would like to show you the financial results we can expect if we decide to go ahead with this proposal. Often team presentations end with the same team member who opened the session returning to deliver the closing.
