I live in an apartment complex that has tons of rabbits around. When i take my dog out he licks the grass where rabbits go to the bathroom. He then makes weird faces, and fights to stay there and lick more.

Dogs are not used to lick such things but if it is getting into this habit then you should stop it. Urine of every organism is waste material having so many toxic substances in it. Such substances if do not come out of blood through urine, act as a poison. Rabbit's urine has bad odor. Moreover, contains calcium carbonate crystals and porphyrin pigments. You try to keep your dog away from that place.
