Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A digital postmark is a network security mechanism. The network security comprises of provisions that lie in a computer network infrastructure. This postmark was created by Ihab Hamadeh and George Kesidis, they were Penn State researchers. This mechanism was used to develop in order to fight attacks by spam or denial-of-service, also known as virus that would smoothly pass through messages that were relevant.

The digital postmark basically identifies the particular region from which the packet or packets are coming from. The perimeter router helps in marking a specific data region. The perimeter router is also known as "border router packet marking". The router uses an unused portion in the packet to mark the data. If there is no place in the packets then the region information is broken up and mixed in a retrievable way.
