Depends if place is more moist. If dark area is more moist then it will grow faster in the dark area.

Dark damp places are the best environment for mould as mould if fungie.  Look at trees, moss, this is a type of mould, it will only grow on the north side which has the least light

Mold will grow faster in lighter spaces I would have to say. I think it has something to do with the heat the light is giving off and usually bacteria needs some sort of heat to grow. Heat tends to dilate while cold will constrict. Ex. When you have a open wound is not wise to put a heat compression onto the wound because by doing this it will dilate the blood vessels and will cause more bleeding. Where as if you put a cold compression / ice pack it will constrict the wound lessoning the bleeding. How does this apply with mold growing on bread? Well you would think maybe the heat would dilate some form of bacteria that the bread produces and therefor causing it to grow faster in lighted places. In darker places it is not giving off any source of heat because it's cooler and will result in a slower molding process.

If the place in the light is also moist it will grow faster there. If the light dries out the bread then the mold will grow faster in the dark.

I think mold needs moisture to grow and when it is light it cooks it and the mold dies

Trying to make the good old Jail-house Acid? Here are some proper instructions:

1. Take around two average orange peels (that's a good dosage for this)
2. Smear almost pure fluoride toothpaste on each one creating a thick nice layer of the stuff.
3. Now there are variations to this next step, you have to keep it in a humid climate or use a humidified room, for 3 weeks
4. Now after the three weeks, take a lighter and burn off all the mold on your orange peel/toothpaste creation.
5. Put both peels in a zip lock bag (try to get most air out), and leave it there for 1 week.
6. Now after that 1 week is over, you will have made the official orange peel LSD.
