What Is Inter-religious Dialogue?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Inter-religious dialogue is an ecumenical movement (ecumenical meaning it is worldwide) with the intent to unit and reconcile Christians worldwide into the one and only Church of Christ.

Today leaders of Christian and non-Christian churches worldwide, are gathering regularly to pray together, study the Sacred Scriptures, and share one another's traditions. In discussions they seek out common ways to work together for Social Justice. Theologians gather and discuss their doctrinal and theological positions to searching for a mutual understanding in truth.

Furthermore, in cities and towns Christians unite in interfaith prayer services; establish and work together in homeless shelters, soup kitchens and clinics as they  care for the homeless,  poor, sick and displaced people of our society.

Christians in dialogue with others have begun to seek unity in the common beliefs we share. Through inter-faith activities Christians unite with non-Christians in the name of Christ.
