Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Matthew Perry is a successful American television and film actor, who is most famous for playing the part of Chandler Bing in sitcom 'Friends'. At the height of the show's success, Perry was getting paid approximately $1 million per episode.

Perry was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts on the 19th of August 1969. However he moved to Ottawa in Canada when he was young.

Perry did not start out his career as an actor, instead he was a successful junior tennis player with a high ranking in Canada.

When Perry was 15 years old, he moved to LA to live with his father. As his father was an actor, he quickly became inspired to follow in his footsteps and got involved with high school drama productions.

Instead of enrolling in the University of Southern California, he was offered the lead role in a TV series called 'Second Chance' in 1987.

However in 1994, Perry was helping a friend rehearse  an audition piece for 'Friends', when he decided to try out for the part as well. Needless to say, Perry was given the role and is now a major worldwide celebrity.
