How To Make Wedding Cookies?

You will need:1/2 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup shortening, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup chopped pecans and powdered sugar for rolling cookie.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Cream together butter, shortening, and 1 cup of powdered sugar.
Gradually add 1 cup of flour and salt
Add remaining 1 cup of flour and pecans, stirring with spoon. Dough will be stiff.
Form dough into tablespoon size balls and place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
Bake 15-20 minutes, or until cookies are lightly golden brown.
Place 1 cup of powdered sugar in a bowl.. While cookies are still warm, roll each one coating completely.

Makes about 36 cookies.
