Which Actor Won Three Awards For His Performance In "Frasier"?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Kelsey Grammer won Best Comedy Actor Emmy in 1993, 94 and 95, for his performance as radio psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane. Audiences and critics loved the show and the character; Grammer perfectly portrayed a clumsy, pretentious buffoon who was also a complex and essentially unhappy man. Frasier is at once dense, infuriating, intelligent and compassionate. Most of the series charts his search for true love as he sabotages one relationship after another through insensitivity or over-eagerness. Meanwhile at home, his hopes for a carefree bachelor existence are shattered when his father moves in, complete with carer and dog; and his working life is equally complicated, with one crisis following another (he is even unemployed throughout one season.)

Essentially the show is confined to three locations: Frasier's beloved apartment, ruined by Dad's orthopedic chair; the radio station where he wrestles with his own, his colleagues' and the public's problems, often all at once; and the aptly named Café Nervosa where the characters gather to try and make sense of their lives over a latte.
