Armadillos are basically small placental mammals. They are unique because they have a leathery armor shell. It is an endangered specie and Dasypodidae is the only surviving member of this animal kingdom.
Armadillos is not capable of harming humans. In fact this animal comes to many uses of humans. It is helping humans in study of leprosy as these are one of the very few animals that can contract the disease. Its meat is sometimes hunted and cooked.
