Carbon Dioxide In A Room. Can You Help?

Lack of oxygen in a room makes people sleepy. Why? Are there simple meters to indicate carbon dioxide in a confined space?

Your heart pumps oxygen around your body in the form of blood...agreed? Where does this oxygen come from? Your lungs of course. When you breathe air into your lungs a gaseous exchange occurs where
1.Oxygen is taken into your body
2.Carbon dioxide is emitted (when you breathe out)
So if your breathing in carbon dioxide you may get rid of some but the CO2 your breathing in will no doubt replace it. We become tired due to this lack of oxyen and excess of carbom dioxide(because oxygen is responsible for giving energy to your cells along with food and also CO2 is toxic :)  )
In answering the second part of your question.Yes there is a device. A Person! Preferably a baby or old person (because their lives don't matter). Place them in the room for roughly two hours ..if they live your fine but if they die theres too much carbon dioxide.
Hope this helps best of luck.
