Most of the reptiles are considered to be amphibians that say that they are able to live at two places; on land and in water.

Living in such kind of condition is not something that they themselves have chosen but their body is such that they have to live in such kind of condition. They are considered as the cold-blooded animals and that means they are not able to maintain the temperature of their body at a constant level. They mostly rely on the outside condition to maintain a constant level of temperature and regularly changing their surroundings to maintain it.

Being cold blooded also have some benefits like these animals can survive on less amount of food than their warm-blooded peers; warm blooded take a decent amount of food to keep themselves warm.

Heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reptiles are cold blooded so they need to be warm all the time. I Have a Leopard Gecko, and i have a Night lamp and a day lamp (blue and Red). U must have a place where your reptile likes to hang out and bask in the sun-(heat lamp).
