Everything I Do was performed by Bryan Adams, and was a massive success. It was featured in the soundtrack for the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

In the UK, the song held the chart position number 1 for 16 weeks, breaking the record for the most weeks on top of the United Kingdom charts. In the U.S., it stayed at number 1 for 7 weeks, selling four million copies, and broke a record for the longest run at number one on the Hot 100 Single Sales. In Canada (Bryan's home country), it stayed at number 1 for 39 weeks.

In 1992, the song won a Grammy Award Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. It is the best-selling song of 1991, and one of the best-selling singles of all time. It was a mega hit, topping the charts in thirty countries.

The success of the single led to the success of Bryan's album, 'Waking up the Neighbours, which sold 15 million copies around the world.
