How Large Is Quebec?

The entire city of Quebec covers about 1,542,056 square km  of which 1,183,128 square km (which is 88.5%) is land while 176,928 square km (which is 11.5%) is water. In terms of areas, Québec is the largest province and the 2nd biggest administrative division after Nunavut, in the whole of Canada. The northern portion of this province has very scanty population. This is because most of the people have chosen to reside along the banks of the Saint Lawrence River thus making Quebec the 2nd most populated province. Quebec is surrounded by James Bay, Ontario and Hudson Bay to the West, by the Ungava Bay in the North, by Newfoundland and New Brunswick in the east and in the south by the United States.
