Meps refers to Methode d'Evaluation des Produits Securitaire "bancaires", Multilanguage Electronic Phototypesetting System and United States Military Entrance Processing Command.
The United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) is basically a part of the Department of Defense. It performs the function of processing applicants and entrants into the Armed Forces of the United States. Its headquarters is located at North Chicago, Illinois. It operates through nearly 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) all the way through the United States. Some of the test that needs to be performed are include vision, hearing, blood, and blood pressure tests, a pregnancy test (for women), an examination by a doctor, a height and weight check, urinalysis, a breathalyzer test, a moral/background examination, as well as the Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). The motto of USMEPCOM is "Freedom's Front Door".
