The Easter Bunny basically is fictional giving rabbit who is said to leave gifts. It is said that Easter baskets are left as gifts especially for children. The Easter Bunny initially originated in the Western European cultures, where it is more of a hare than a rabbit.
The phrase or saying "Mad as a March Hare" is basically referred to wild escapades of hares as the males fight over females in early spring, in an effort to mate with them. Since the females initially resist from mating, before finally succumbing. Their mating action looks more like a crazy dance.
The exact origin of colouring eggs is till date not known, thought it is said to be a historic custom. It is followed by on a large scale by many people.
