    The term Irish Catholics is one given to people who are of Roman Catholic background as well as either Irish or of Irish descent. In many places, where Protestants are in majority, being Catholic as well as simply being Irish, have at times separated this group of people from the mainstream culture. There are different incidents involving conflicts between the groups. For instance, in the United States antagonism aimed at these aspects has been expressed by means of the Know-Nothing movement in addition to general Nativism.

    No matter what your race, religion or your culture, you need to be proud of it. Carry yourself with a sense of pride and belonging.
