Why Are People Addited To Gambling?

I would imagine just as any addiction,it starts out as fun and a past time and ends up habit forming and takes most people down to nothing because all income goes to the addiction, bill money because they think they can take the electric bill money and double it,but it either happens once or twice and then they start to tell themselves the next time,next time, then they start to borrow against what they have not won thinking they are going to win, they never do and get further and further in debt with friends, family and whom ever else will listen....good luck  

Also I think the rush you get when you do win and the high from winning big - just like any addiction you chase the high. To deny yourself that is difficult, so you keep going back in the hope that you'll get the same high again. And it's mentally just as difficult to break a gambling addiction as any other kind of addiction.
