I don't think so. I would go by the weight of the dog instead. For example: A 100 lb human is prescribed 1 tsp of the oil, then a 25 lb dog would only take 1/4 tsp. I'm not sure cod liver oil is safe for dogs though, I would call a vet before giving him any. I think any type of oil might cause diarrhea, and too much could cause serious problems.

That's a good question to call an ask a vet. They wouldn't charge you anything to ask over the phone. Personally, I would say, yes.
