It is true that a lot of experienced climbers as well as amateurs have lost their lives while trying to climb Mount Everest. By the year 2003, statistics had reported that about 179 mountaineers had lost their lives while trying to climb Everest. Quite a few of these bodies are lost under and in the snow-capped mountains, and there may be no telling where it takes them. It is therefore possible that one might sight corpses lying in the snow. This is because the extreme weather conditions make it extremely difficult to clean up the corpses and the areas surrounding the main routes.
