No I've never had it, and I'm always a little shy at trying new things, I always order the same thing when ever I go anywhere no matter where I go, but maybe someday.

My dad used to love his oyster stew, and I grew up on the stuff and love it. I buy and shuck fresh oysters and make oyster stew as part of the New Year's buffet tradition every year. My kids like and the rest of the family really like it, too, but I rarely meet someone who likes it as much as I do--so I'm so glad to meet another 'stew' lover!

How do you make yours, I make it very basic, can of oysters and use the broth, add milk or cream, and a pinch of butter, then pepper and a little salt and parsley. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
That is all there is to mine, too, except I use fresh oysters on New Year's Eve :) I can eat it for days!

I love oyster stew it's easy to make and I try to have it every couple of weeks especially in
the winter. Smoked oysters are also good on crackers.
