I have my aloe plant where it gets no sunlight at all- constant shade.

Well your Aloe plant is turning white because of 2 reasons:
• It is in its development stage.
• It is not getting sufficient sun light.
• It is in its development stage.

You might have been watering your aloe too much. Try to lessen watering...at least 3 times a week only and see to it your plant gets enough sunlight.
