Sky Multichannels basically was set of analogue television channels which were provided by British Sky Broadcasting on the Astra flotillas of satellites. This service was launched in the year 1993 and lasted till the closing down of the BSkyB's analogue service in the year 2001. This service use to initially cost approximately 6.99 pounds when launched. The channels use to be encrypted applying the NDS Groups VideoCrypt arrangement, and needed monthly subscription payment along with VideoCrypt decoder and a legitimate viewing card in order to receive transmission of channels.
